No, Trump didn’t have to know. He didn’t have to be in on a plot to make him a super-hero. It’s always better if the prime target doesn’t know. Then all his reactions are genuine. The kid with the AR and some practice on a shooting range, or the best sniper in the world… …trying to graze the ear OR trying to kill Trump and hitting his ear instead—forget it. The shot that just happened to leave Trump alive and unharmed and a hero twice the size of his former heroic status…that’s a drama for the ages. That’s a storyline that falls perfectly into place. Or just letting that kid or any suspicious person walk around the rally without being arrested. Because the kid could have opened fire from the ground. Or anywhere. It didn’t have to be the rooftop. The kid is obviously the patsy. How that came to be—who knows? We could speculate. We could invent stories. He could have been nurtured and groomed and guided. Playing off his already unstable mental state. Think Lee Oswald. Sirhan Sirhan. It happens...
