I signed a petition on Action Network telling Adam Lamontange to Preserve and Protect Templeton.

Residents of Templeton and surrounding communities would be irrevocably harmed if a plastic waste incinerator, so called “advanced recycling”, would be built in Baldwinville to process up to 500 tons per day. The increased risk of fire, explosions, dust, diesel smoke, traffic, toxic, cancer-causing emissions, noise pollution, hazardous waste, and decreased quality of life and property values are unacceptable.   A gigantic incinerator plant does not belong in a thickly settled village like Baldwinville or anywhere else in Templeton. It’s well known that MacVallee LLC bought the property to build this plant knowing full well that over $400,000.00 in back taxes were owed. These back taxes have not been paid since their purchase in 2022. Judge Patterson ruled that MacVallee had to pay back taxes totalling $525,738.14 by July 1st 2024 plus about $8000.00 court costs and legal fees.
