Special Council John Durham’s Failed Investigation of the Plot against President Trump
Special Council John Durham’s Failed Investigation of the Plot against President Trump
Paul Craig Roberts
I never expected anything to come out of Special Council John Durham’s “investigation” of Russiagate, the attempt by the CIA, FBI, and Democrat Party to frame President Trump as a Russian agent, and nothing has come out of it.
I didn’t expect anything to come out of the “investigation” because the Establishment is opposed to Trump and most certainly will not permit an investigation that would bring out the truth. The vindication of Trump is the last thing that will come out of Washington. As the Establishment controls the appointment of special prosecutors, it was obvious that nothing would come of Durham’s “investigation.”
And there were other indications. When Durham was appointed, stories were planted on the presstitutes about what a bulldog he is and that all involved in the plot against Trump were in peril. As a person who spent 25 years in Washington, this was a dead giveaway. If Durham were a bulldog, there would be no need of press releases to tell us.
Let’s review the facts. The CIA director, John Brennan, accused President Trump of treason. The FBI director had its Russiagate investigation run by officials, such as Peter Strzok, a Deputy Assistant Director, who, together with his FBI lawyer lover, as their emails show, were committed to defeating Trump from being elected and to removing him from office if he prevailed. Strzok is the FBI official who wrongly cleared Hillary Clinton of her illegal use of a personal email server while she served as US Secretary of State. Just the man to investigate the President of the United States for “Russian connections” that insured Russian interference in the 2016 US elections would put Russian agent Trump in office. Special counsel Robert Mueller employed Strzok to investigate links, which the presstitutes told us existed, between Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russian government.
This was the Establishment’s clever way of getting rid of Trump. It was aimed at the patriotic Americans who elected Trump and was designed to convince them that they had misplaced their hopes in a Russian agent. But it didn’t work on Trump’s supporters, so Trump’s supporters have been turned into “domestic extremists,” warranting the full attention and force of federal security agencies.
The concocted Mueller investigation of Trump’s alleged Russian connections went on and on. The American print and TV media, which is nothing but a brothel, assured us over and over of Trump’s Russian connections. The Steel Dossier, a lurid collection of lies describing trump in bed in Moscow with Russian prostitutes, where he was allegedly filmed by hidden cameras and became the property of Russia, which interfered in the presidential election to put Their Man Trump in office was top of the news. Today the Steel Dossier is known as discredited, flawed, unverified. But there are no apologies. As far as I know, a large chunk of the insouciant American public does not know that the Steel Dossier was a hoax.
As the Steel Dossier was an attempt, among others, to discredit the President of the United States, and was paid for by Trump’s opponent’s campaign, and was a basis for the appointment of Robert Mueller as Special Counsel to investigate the sitting President of the United States, why isn’t Special Counsel John Durham investigating those who concocted this fraud, this act of treason against the United States of America? Instead of investigating the FBI for building a false case against the President of the United States and those responsible for the Russiagate hoax, Durham is prosecuting people for lying to the FBI.
John Durham, who might be a decent person if his career was not dependent on Washington, avoided a real investigation that would have threatened the Washington Establishment. First he focused on a low level lawyer who he accused of lying to the FBI, as if this had anything to do with the enormity of the plot against a sitting President of the United States, a man elected by Americans. His second investigation, which he just lost in court to a Washington, D.C. jury–did Durham really think that a D.C. jury would find anything in Trump’s favor?–focused not on Hillary, not on the CIA, not on the FBI, but on a Russian who Durham charged with lying to the FBI. So Durham has reduced a concocted plot against the President of the United States by the US CIA, the US FBI, the US media, and the US Democrat Party to charges against nonentities for lying to the FBI. What a total joke.
So, as you can see, when the government investigates itself, as with President Kennedy’s assassination, Robert Kennedy’s assassination, Martin Luther King’s assassination, 9/11, and Russiagate, the government directs focus away from the issue, focuses on minor issues and players, and finds nothing but the vindication of its false narrative.
This is America today. Does the pubic realize this and have any inkling as to what it means? No. The public is lost in trying to figure out how to pay their mortgage payments, car payments, student loans, credit cards. The American pubic is more interested in TV sitcoms, video games, the latest movies, who is sleeping with who, in getting their kids into prestigious colleges and universities, and in their career than they are in remaining a free and independent people. Their conversations are about golf scores, their college football team, their or their wives’ operations, their wives remodeling of the kitchen and/or bathrooms. Their understanding of the word is controlled by CNN, MSNBC, NPR, NYTimes. They live in The Matrix. They have no awareness and no control over their existence.
Such irresponsible people have no right to be free and they are rapidly losing via their own insouciance their freedom. Essentially, the populations of the entirety of the Western world are being re-ensurfed. They haven’t the intelligence, the awareness, the will to resist their lost of freedom.
If the Democrats fail to steal the approaching November election and lose it, it will be because Americans find their pocketbooks hard pressed, not because Americans have any idea of what is being done to them, their families, their freedom and rights, or the Armageddon that the American neoconservatives are driving Americans toward in their pursuit of Washington’s hegemony over the world.
There has been a coup, and it appears nothing can be done about it.
