Please Do Not Comply With the New Face Mask Orders in These Six States (Both Red and Blue)

My first media appearance of the year was yesterday.
In it, I pointed out that both California and Wisconsin continue to have policies in place allowing local officials to force mandatory face masks on the most vulnerable.
Yes, five years into this stupidity, I am still talking about how not
to wear a face mask. I was sure that when I started writing about the
health mandates in February 2020 that they would never come — they were
just too ludicrous to fathom. After all, how could anyone be so demented
as to shut down a relatively free and functioning society, one of the
crown jewels of human achievement? When the lockdowns came in March
2020, I was sure they would last days, certainly not two weeks and
certainly not nationally. I was wrong, perhaps even naive. When they
kept continuing, I was sure they would be done in months, not years.

I have stopped making predictions on the topic, or any topic really. I have recognized that there is much farther we can fall. That it is up to lions like you and me to stop the fall around us.
As the lockdowns and other mandates stretched on, I wrote Face Masks in One Lesson, the guide on how to live life unmasked and still be treated like a VIP.
More was needed, and the pages of LewRockwell.com became a place where I was able to publish on the topic at length and several times a week. But more was needed.
Therefore, I got a team together and made videos of those LewRockwell.com posts, in an effort to reach those who like to watch, rather than read. That was successful, but more was needed.
I went out into the mainstream and alternative media with hundreds of radio, television, print, and podcast interviews year after year.
When people refused to believe my claims that face masks are neither safe nor effective, I wrote Face Masks Hurt Kids, to say more about that point. In the book, I give nearly one thousand examples of how unsafe a face mask is to wear.
Yes, a face mask is UNSAFE for you to wear.
And while these hundreds of examples in the book are not exhaustive, and while I, like Bill Gates, am not an MD, I (unlike Bill Gates), lay foundation in the book for why no one should put on a mask or allow a mask worn by doctors, nurses, or even drivers around them until conclusive research on their safety is done.
That still wasn’t enough. In person training was needed to reach some. So, I hosted regular California meetings to teach people in person how not to wear the mask. When it became clear that wasn’t enough, I started driving up and down the left coast encouraging and training activists. But more was needed.
I hosted heroes of the lockdown such as Dr. Simone Gold and Pastor Arthur Pawlowski. I also attended gatherings hosted by others in order to be an encouragement among the circles of people they had around them.
But more was needed, there was a need for daily contact, and interaction that went beyond face-to-face, with room for more involvement, so I put together daily emails intended to encourage and get people more involved.
When that still proved insufficient, I put together the vaccine-free and mask-free online community, Project Pureblood, in which all participants take a no-mask and no-jab vow in order to join.
I live in downtown San Francisco and I practice what I preach. I surrounded myself with as many good people as I could, and found as many good people as I could, and sought to encourage as many good people as I could.
I did not know how to do any of these things five years ago. All I knew was this: IT IS NOT YOUR OPPRESSOR’S FAULT THAT YOU ARE SO OPPRESSIBLE. And I was definitely getting oppressed. So what was I going to do about it?
And don’t kid yourself into taking a leftist way of seeing the world and assuming that I must have come from a position of privilege, or that anyone else comes from a position of privilege that is unmatchable by you. That would just not be consistent with the ups and downs of life for you to take such a stance. Under the same kind of hardship that all the rest of us experience in daily life, I vowed that I would stop being so oppressible. And I vowed to surround myself with people who wished to stop being so oppressible. And I vowed to help others to stop being so oppressible — you, Dear Reader, included.
And many thousands have helped me do that.
I do not know what the future holds. I do not know what tomorrow brings. And I am certainly not promised tomorrow. But every day that I live, I know can be a day to promote freedom in this beautiful world.
I ask that you do the same.
Putting on a face mask is a moment that you allow a little less freedom into the world, a little more tyranny. Life is a collection of choices we get to make. Often one choice is a little better, the other choice a little worse. Putting on a face mask — that moment of compliance — is one such moment. And you can choose in that moment to make a decision that is a little bit better, that spreads a little more courage, and spreads a little more freedom. Or you can choose the opposite.
Last night, a reader sent me the following:
“BREAKING: Healthcare facilities in California, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin are reinstating face mask mandates due to concerns over a ‘quad-demic.’”
Little did I know during that interview yesterday that word of a renewed face mask mandate would appear in my inbox that evening, the night of Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Digging Deeper
To dig a little deeper, I have only been able to find one Wisconsin health system returning to a mask requirement.
One hospital in Indiana has implemented visitor restrictions and a mask requirement.
In Illinois, a partial face mask requirement that have been implemented in a few hospitals.
A large hospital system in New Jersey has implemented a mask requirement.
Several California counties have implemented mask requirements in health care facilities.
New York City has implemented mask requirements in some areas of public hospitals.
ABC News has identified hospitals in at least three other states that have implemented mask requirements: Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington.
Do Not Give These News Reports Too Much Weight
Hopefully, that insistence does not spread beyond those 9 states. The coastal and blue nature of some of the states involved is par for the course in those places. The fact that Wisconsin and Indiana are involved is a bad sign.
At the same time, these are mostly hyped-up, puff pieces by journalists and editors seeking to make mandatory masking policies look much more popular than they actually are. A small number of misguided administrators are putting those policies in place.
Be Ready To Stand Wherever Mandates Appear
Given the almost superstitious reliance on face masks orders among some in positions of authority, there are almost certainly health facilities in all fifty states that are harassing visitors and patients for not masking. At the same time, we need not see the situation as worse than it is. On an individual basis, we can have an impact.
This week, I was in a Midwestern health care facility that had enclosed a woman with no respiratory symptoms in a room for three days by herself in near total isolation, with all who entered the room required to be masked. That nonsense ended as soon as I showed up and started asking questions. You too can stop nonsense in your midst, just by drawing attention or even by simply asking some questions.
What Could This Mean?
What might happen is that government bureaucrats and hospital administrators who are loyalists to the system will take this opportunity to apply pressure, promote mayhem, and exert control, just as they did in 2020 and 2021 and to a lesser extent 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, but it has continued ready to be revived. What really needs happening is to stomp it out. No matter who is reading this, you do not control the entire world. You do not make decisions for the entire world. But you do have a circle of influence. Each one of us have a circle of influence.
And that is why I wrote you. This nonsense needs stomping out. I write you to appeal to you to vow that it will never be welcome in your presence.
Healthcare facilities, courts, government offices, and schools are low hanging fruit in which it is easier to institute those policies.
These are places where they can be most easily returned. And in every part of the country there are corners of life where that insanity has continued.
So, I write you today, asking you to put an end to this and other
nonsense in your midst. Do not comply. Confront it. I do not know
exactly what that may look like in your life. But I know that with the
proper resolve you can magnify your impact upon the world around you far
beyond what you are already doing — no matter how influential you
already are.

Thank you, dear lion, for your efforts. Please step forward and do even more. A brief reprieve may have come. But now more is needed from us. Some bad ideas need stomping out. And in your circle, you are the only one who can do some of that work.
And while it goes so much further than a face mask, the face mask is where it starts. One little choice is where it starts. Much ill comes from one little choice. And likewise much good comes from one little choice.
I ask you this day, to vow to never wear that mask again, and to resolve to live life that way, no matter the cost.
If you can do it with something as simple as a mask, you can do it with many other things in life.
And that is ultimately the goal: To vow to live a free and principled life no matter the cost. The cost may be great in deed.
That is the nature of not complying. That is the nature of being courageous, to resolve to live principled, to resolve to live free, no matter the cost.
