The CDC’s V-safe App Will Monitor Your Vaccination Status for ALL Vaccines NVIC
Executive Director Theresa Wrangham monitored the June 2023 National
Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC) meeting and learned that CDC is
expanding the government’s v-safe electronic surveillance tool using
smartphones, which was originally created to monitor COVID-19 vaccine
reactions. Now v-safe is being expanded to include influenza and RSV
vaccines. Unlike the publicly accessible and transparent Vaccine Adverse
Event Reporting System (VAERS) created under the 1986 National
Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, v-safe is operated by government officials
behind closed doors. V-safe
has been voluntary – so far- but there are concerns that one day it
could become mandatory for all Americans to enroll. CDC official Dr.
Anne Hause admits that they're uncertain if this potentially Orwellian
program will be fully implemented by the Fall, but the history of
electronic vaccine tracking in the U.S. suggests the ultimate goal of
v-safe could be to identify and track every detail of every individual’s
vaccine status. Watch a
video by Barbara Loe Fisher describing the history of electronic
vaccine tracking systems and the National Vaccine Plan, and read
Theresa’s article about the expansion of V-safe here. |
