“Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and were no longer part of the British Empire.[1] The Congress actually voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2.[1]
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.[2][3][4]”

“7 World Trade Center (7 WTC) refers to two buildings that have existed at the same location within the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The current structure is the second building to bear that name and address in the World Trade Center complex. The original structure, part of the original World Trade Center, was completed in 1987 and was destroyed in the September 11 attacks. The current building opened in May 2006. Both buildings were developed by Larry Silverstein, who holds a ground lease for the site from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The original 7 World Trade Center was 47 stories tall, clad in red masonry, and occupied a trapezoidal footprint. An elevated walkway connected the building to the World Trade Center plaza. The building was situated above a Consolidated Edison power substation, which imposed unique structural design constraints. When the building opened in 1987, Silverstein had difficulties attracting tenants. Salomon Brothers signed a long-term lease in 1988, and became the main tenants of 7 WTC.
On September 11, 2001, the structure was damaged by debris when the nearby North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. The debris also ignited fires, which continued to burn throughout the afternoon on lower floors of the building. The building’s internal fire suppression system lacked water pressure to fight the fires, and the building collapsed completely at 5:21:10 pm, according to FEMA,[5]:23 while the 2008 NIST study placed the final collapse time at 5:20:52 pm.[6]:19, 21, 50–51 The collapse began when a critical internal column buckled and triggered structural failure throughout, which was first visible from the exterior with the crumbling of a rooftop penthouse structure at 5:20:33 pm. The collapse made the old 7 World Trade Center the first tall building known to have collapsed primarily due to uncontrolled fires,[7] and at the time, the only steel skyscraper in the world to have collapsed due to fire.[8]”
“Police conclude search of Starnet
CBC News · Posted: Aug 24, 1999 11:26 AM ET | Last Updated: August 24, 1999
Police have wrapped up several days of searching the offices of Starnet Communications in Vancouver. They entered the company offices and homes of some directors on Friday.
Police were looking for evidence of illegal gambling, distributing child pornography, and money laundering.
Since the raid, Starnet officials say police just don’t understand their business.
The search warrant details 18 months of police investigation. It traces a network of companies registered in American and Caribbean jurisdictions.
The warrant also identifies Vancouver as the centre of Starnet’s operations, even though this is a grey under Canadian law.
Police note that Starnet’s revenues grew dramatically in the past two years, from betting and sex shows and from lucrative licensing agreements for its gaming software.
The investigations and pornography from company sites were grounds for Friday’s raid and seizure of company materials.
RCMP Constable Peter Thiessen says investigators left Starnet offices yesterday morning. He says, “They spent the better part of three days going through the business. And as a result of that search the investigation is continuing, but no charges have been laid.”
Starnet’s many investors were spooked by the raid. Share prices dropped almost 70-percent on Friday. However, the company insists the raid had minimal effect on its operation. Stocks rose slightly yesterday after a day of very heavy trading.
In written statements, company CEO Mark Dohlen said the Wall Street Journal calls Starnet the leader in Internet gaming and entertainment. He says companies like his, those on the cutting edge, are often misunderstood.
Yesterday, Starnet announced it will sell off the sex side of its business. It plans to focus more resources on gaming.
The Police investigation is expected to last for several more months.”
“September 11, 2000 [[[No coincidence]]] Hells Angels, Starnet and Crime of the Future
By John William Tuohy
John William Tuohy is a writer who lives in Washingon, D.C.
John Tuohy’s book, The Last Gangster; The Life and Times of Roger Touhy and the Chicago Mob, will be released by Barricade Books this fall.
Organized Crime in Canada is wearing a new face these days. While the traditional mob remains alive and well in the land of the Maple Leaf, the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club is quickly and brutally shootings its way to the top spot.
The image of the Angels image as portrayed by Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin in The Wild Ones, as beer guzzling, rude by otherwise shiftless vagabonds on oversized Harley’s is a thing of the past.
The ancient past.
The Hells Angels of twenty-first century are organized, ambitious and greedy and no where is that displayed better then in the wide-open spaces of our northern neighbors who have been plagued with by an explosion of Hells Angels chapters in recent years.
The Angels, who are now an international organization, have been slowly and steadily muscling control of Canada’s booming money laundering, narcotics and prostitution markets, and the gang is taking traditional steps to defend itself from outside interference.
In January of this year, it was revealed that the prestigious Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a federal, national investigatory force, has been looking into allegations that the bikers have successfully infiltrated the Edmonton City police force over the past seven years. As of today, the investigation had shown that Edmonton police officer partying with drug dealers from Vancouver branches of the group, and the RCMP believes that some officers have been leaking information to bikers which has substantially damaged several federal investigations into the Angels criminal doings.
According to the RCMP, the Angels have good cause to infiltrate the local police. The Edmonton chapter, which was recently officially stripped of its colors by the national chapter, controls cocaine trafficking, and distribution of marijuana, money laundering, and prostitution.
The founder of the Edmonton Hells Angels’ chapter and two other gang members are currently on trial for robbery, extortion unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon and firearms-related offenses.
The three were charged after they kidnaped and beat an extortion victim and forced him to hand over his truck and trailer to clear up a debt.
In another investigation, this one conducted by Canadian Forces counterintelligence, it was learned that over the past seven years, the Angels have been trying to recruit Canadian soldiers for their expertise in weapons. A second investigation is looking into allegations that the Angels are trying to channel some of the militaries high-powered weapons to the bikers, or provide expertise in bomb-making.
And why do the Hells Angels need heat guided missal launching rocket launchers? Well, the club is at war. In Quebec alone, over 150 bikers are dead in the last six years in a struggle to control that city’s lucrative drug trade, prostitution and money laundering trades.
It’s a bitter turf war between the Angels and another group of bikers known as the Rock Machine.
This recent rash of Hells Angels found murdered in the Ontario province are seen as a major challenge to the club which has long wanted a foothold in Canada’s most populous province. Police report that while the Angels do control large segments of Ontario’s underworld rackets, their grasp is tenuous at best due to fierce opposition from the Rock Machines, Ottawa Outlaws, Satan’s Choice, Vagabonds, and the Loners.
The Loners are considered the biggest threat to the Angels by police who recently fired tear gas through the windows of the Loners bike gang clubhouse in Toronto and arrested 16 people. Police say that the tear gas was used to chase the members out after they ignored phone calls urging them to surrender. On the same day 150 police officers simultaneous raided thirteen different biker hangouts and seized $1.5 million worth of drugs — including a kilo of cocaine — 11 long-barreled rifles, a. 45-caliber revolver, four replica handguns, and an assortment of swords, machetes, bayonets, and butterfly knives in the raids. Also seized were large amounts of homegrown marijuana, hashish, mushrooms, Valium, and Percoset. Among the rifles, at least one of which was stolen, was a copy of an AK- 47, the preferred assault rifle of guerrilla armies, complete with two prohibited, oversize magazines capable of holding 30 rounds each.
In Quebec police launched a crackdown against the Hells Angels after gang violence there claimed the lives of at least ten bikers since July of this year.
Nationally, the bikers are vying for control of Canada’s vast and lucrative sex trade. A recent CIA report named the Canadian city’s Vancouver and Toronto hubs for the trafficking of sex trade workers.
According to the CIA, between 700,000 and two million women and children are trafficked through the sex business annually the agency places most of the blame on the Vancouver Angels and other organized-crime groups, including the Asians.
The report said that American girls are also being smuggled from the US to Canada for sexual exploitation. Many of the women are recruited to Vancouver with false promises of jobs as exotic models and exotic dancers. However, once in Canada, they are forced into prostitution or sweatshop labor.
Vancouver, perhaps as a result of the sex trade centered there, has also become the new center for money laundering before the cash mysteriously reappears in one of a hundred, or perhaps a thousand dummy companies in the Caribbean.
Just how important and flooded with cash Vancouver has become was demonstrated recently with the arrest of two prominent Vancouver stockbrokers for participating in an alleged boiler room stock fraud masterminded by the Colombo crime family.
The pair, who are charged with mail and wire fraud, money laundering, and tax fraud, were involved in a stock fraud case whereby they traded shares of Orlando Supercard Inc. through accounts set up with their former employer, Pacific International Securities Inc. in Vancouver.
In another case this past, Jeffrey Burns, a former Liberal Party candidate and longtime chief financial officer of the election campaigns of a former senior cabinet minister, was arrested with his wife on charges that they conspired to launder $10-million in bonds and $3-million in cash and conspiracy to sell fake passports.
Police suspect that the gangs are using their vast cash reserves to buy up big hotels and landmark buildings in Canada for their front men to look respectable.
Inspector Kim Clark, in charge of Vancouver RCMP Proceeds of Crime Section, said he could personally identify dozens of such properties and businesses in major Canadian cities, where the front men may not even know where the money is coming from.
Clark said the police work involved in tracking laundered money and financial fraud has become extremely complicated, because of the various jurisdictions into which the money is pumped. By mixing the dirty money with the proceeds of legitimate businesses, the mobsters behind the scenes have succeeded in “muddying the water to the extent that investigators and forensic accountants find it difficult to tell who owns what and why”.
This may or may not explain the phenomenal growth of a Starnet Communications, a Vancouver-based Internet Casino software operator.
Before its spectacular fall from grace, Starnet was the pride of Vancouver, where it was hailed as an Internet success story. Its founder, Ken Lelek was hailed as an Internet pioneer. A local boy made good through hard work and dedication to a dream. Even the national government praised their rapid rise to the top. Starnet’s stock was considered one of the best buys on the market, and in less then a year its price leaped from 37.5 cents to a high of $29 by July of 1999. At its peak, Starnet’s paper value neared $900 million. In fact, the company’s stock was selling so well that Starnet applied for permission to trade on the prestigious Nasdaq market.
In 1998 a “Nightline” broadcast about online businesses hailed Starnet as a “reputable pioneer of Internet gambling.” Starnet’s revenues for fiscal 1999 totaled $9.7 million.
Starnet was the up and comer.
Then it all fell apart. At the break of dawn on August 20, 1999, in Vancouver’s seediest neighborhood, several squads of heavily armed members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police kicked in the steel-vaulted security door to Starnet’s corporate office and working around the clock over the next three days seized all of the company files, papers and computer equipment.
The Starnet probe, dubbed “Project Enigma,” by the federal police, even searched through the garbage at the homes of company executives and impounded their personnel phone books.
The raid on Starnet shocked Vancouver and the Internet business community. However, the raid was the culmination of an 18-month probe of Starnet’s operation, which the RCMP was now describing “substantially and fundamentally an illegal enterprise.” involved in pornography and money laundering through the Internet. This is no small charge considering the CIA claims that Vancouver is the new center for the illegal sex trade in North America.
Police also said that the company’s adult-entertainment Web sites contain graphic depiction’s of sadomasochism, which violated Canada’s anti-obscenity laws.
The day after the raid, Starnet honcho’s tried to empty the company’s bank accounts but police had already frozen the accounts. Starnet’s once promising stock plunged to its value of less then two dollars a share. It withdrew its application to Nasdaq and quietly, and quickly, relocated its headquarters to Antigua, far beyond the reach of the Canadian Royal Mounted Police or the U.S. Customs Service and the Internal Revenue Service which are now also investigating Starnet.
It turned out that Starnet was far more then the hapless casino software developer it claimed to be. The company had branched out from providing software to running its own on line gambling casinos. Starnet was also selling sex, lots of it including Gay porn, live strip shows and all manner of hard-core pornography with customers in more than 60 countries.
But it was the alleged illegal wagering that brought around a police sting. Officers posing as Canadian and American gamblers approached Starnet and placed bets with them, a violation of Canada’s rigid anti gambling laws since Starnet didn’t have a license to provide gambling services.
Then new light was shed on Starnet’s founder Ken Lelek, who now denied any substantial role in the company, a statement the police flatly dispute. According to the national police, Lelek was close to Lloyd Robnson, whom prosecutors and organized crime experts identified as a leader in the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Clubs Vancouver branch which is noted for its violent behavior and dealing in narcotics.
Further digging showed that Lelek and Robnson ran a booking agency strippers for nightclubs which provided strippers for Starnets live Internet shows. And although the police won’t confirm or deny it, the word around Ottawa’s official circuit is that the RCMP opened its investigation of Starnet based on the Hells Angels link.
Stay tuned. This one is only beginning to unfold.

“Biological warfare (BW)—also known as germ warfare—is the use of biological toxins or infectious agents such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi with the intent to kill or incapacitate humans, animals or plants as an act of war. Biological weapons (often termed “bio-weapons”, “biological threat agents”, or “bio-agents”) are living organisms or replicating entities (viruses, which are not universally considered “alive”) that reproduce or replicate within their host victims. Entomological (insect) warfare is also considered a type of biological weapon. This type of warfare is distinct from nuclear warfare and chemical warfare, which together with biological warfare make up NBC, the military acronym for nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare using weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). None of these is a conventional weapon, which are deployed primarily for their explosive, kinetic, or incendiary potential.
Biological weapons may be employed in various ways to gain a strategic or tactical advantage over the enemy, either by threats or by actual deployments. Like some of the chemical weapons, biological weapons may also be useful as area denial weapons. These agents may be lethal or non-lethal, and may be targeted against a single individual, a group of people, or even an entire population. They may be developed, acquired, stockpiled or deployed by nation states or by non-national groups. In the latter case, or if a nation-state uses it clandestinely, it may also be considered bioterrorism.[1]
Biological warfare and chemical warfare overlap to an extent, as the use of toxins produced by some living organisms is considered under the provisions of both the Biological Weapons Convention and the Chemical Weapons Convention. Toxins and psychochemical weapons are often referred to as midspectrum agents. Unlike bioweapons, these midspectrum agents do not reproduce in their host and are typically characterized by shorter incubation periods.[2]
The use of biological weapons is prohibited under customary international humanitarian law,[3] as well as a variety of international treaties.[4] The use of biological agents in armed conflict is a war crime.[5]”

“The Secret Montreal Experiments They Don’t Want You To Know About
A dark time in the city’s history
Michael D’Alimonte · 2 years ago
Doses of LSD given through an IV; drug-induced comas lasting two months; amnesia brought on by drugs psychological torture. None of these actions seem possible in an accepting, liberal city like Montreal. But there’s a dark part of Montreal’s history everyone seems to forget, or simply not talk about, and all of these atrocities (and more) occurred in the heart of the city.
During the late 1950s, Dr. Ewan Cameron was the director of the renowned Allen Memorial Institute, the Psychiatry Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital, part of the McGill University Health Centre.
On the surface, Cameron was conducting esteemed academic research on the human mind for the benefit of his psychologically afflicted patients.
Those unlucky enough to be admitted to the Allen, within the Ravenscrag mansion, experienced something far more horrific.
Commissioned by the CIA to create an effective brainwashing technique, with partial funding from the Canadian government, Dr. Ewan Cameron subjected his patients to a new form of psychological torture, which went on to serve as the basis for the Kubark Counterintelligence Interrogation Handbook, essentially the CIA’s textbook on torture.
And he did it right under the noses of Montrealers.
While older citizens may remember the media frenzy that occurred once the story of Dr. Ewan Cameron’s work broke, exactly what happened has largely remained a mystery, and many modern Montrealers have next to no idea what occurred at the Allen all those years ago.
Using a variety of sources, including declassified CIA files, we’ve pieced together the narrative of what is arguably the darkest moment of Montreal’s long history.
The Motive: Creating A Super Soldier
Cold War paranoia pervaded the mindset of CIA officials in the late 1950s, fears that were only bolstered when American prisoners of war returned from captivity praising Communism and admonishing the United States. These soldiers had been reprogrammed, or brainwashed, and the CIA feared the consequences of an enemy with such mind-altering techniques.
Certain brainwashing practices were long-since rumored to be practiced by China and Russia, and the aforementioned cases prompted the CIA to devise their own brand of mental warfare. Knowing that no enemy of the United States had devised a scientific or technological method to brainwash prisoners/soldiers, the CIA didn’t discount the possibility, and so took on the task of creating one first.
The CIA’s aspirations weren’t focused on prisoners; rather, they believed the mind could be militarized to create the perfect soldier. Through brainwashing and conditioning, the CIA envisioned an agent that could be “activated” with certain stimuli, carry out a specific task, then regress into amnesia.
In simpler terms, the CIA wanted double agents, or super soldiers, who had been psychologically altered to fulfill a function, then forget it ever happened, thus making interrogation impossible.
The program would become known as Project MKUltra.
But developing such a method would require unorthodox experimentation, and the CIA feared the backlash they may receive for funding the use of experimental drugs and dangerous forms of therapy on citizens.
So, after some preliminary experimentation, the CIA decided to take the project of brainwashing and reconditioning the human mind beyond the borders of the United States.
And in Montreal the CIA found the the perfect place, and person, for the project.
The Man: Dr. Ewan Cameron
Montreal’s entanglement in Project MKUltra is rooted in the work and story of Dr. Ewan Cameron. Professor of Psychiatry at McGill University, president of the American Psychiatric Association, and director of the then-new Allen Memorial Institute, which houses the Psychiatry Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital, Cameron’s accolades were many, painting a rather positive portrait of the doctor.
A Scottish-born Psychiatrist, McGill University’s archives describe Cameron as a figure of psychiatric proficiency, noting his role in advancing “psychiatric training through undergraduate curricula and teaching hospital programmes.” Many of his contemporaries would have said the same, as Cameron was quite famous, renowned, and revered in academic circles.
Ann Collins, author of “In The Sleep Room,” notes that Cameron stood as a pillar of psychiatry in North America. Once made the director of the Allen, Cameron had achieved a “god like status” in the psychiatric community, able to make or break a person’s career, while having the autonomy to perform research unsupervised and without needing approval.
Institutional review boards did not exist at the time, and Cameron’s work played a role in their creation. You’ll soon see why.
It was Cameron’s already ongoing research at the Allen that drew the CIA’s interest. Inherently impatient, Cameron sought to find a cure for schizophrenia, one that would be speedy and effective. To do so, Cameron developed the theory of “differential amnesia,” a practice of erasing a person’s memories in hopes that, when their memories returned, their schizophrenic behavior wouldn’t resurface.
Cameron had almost no evidence to support his theory, but it interested the CIA nonetheless. The agency wanted to see where Cameron’s work could go, speculating that if the doctor could effectively erase a person’s mind and instill new patterns of behavior (a process called “psychic driving”), as he claimed to be able to, they could apply the method to create sleeper agents.
So, in Cameron, the CIA had found the perfect leader for their project. Equipped with his own research institute and already conducting rather extreme and unusual experiments on his current patients, one could argue that the CIA’s prompt to further Cameron’s research wouldn’t even have been needed.
Nevertheless, the CIA did commission Cameron to advance his methods and so MKUltra Subproject 68 was born.
The Method: MKUltra Subproject 68
Officially sanctioned on March 18th, 1957, MKUltra Subproject 68 lasted for two full years, with Dr. Cameron receiving annual funding of $20, 000.
Declassified CIA documents reveal the purpose of and mechanics of the program, a far cry from how the experiments were actually carried out in many cases.
MKUltra Subproject 68’s main objective, and Dr. Cameron’s, was to find a chemical agent that would break down patterns of behavior, or a person’s personality/memory, while also inserting new behaviors and mindsets. Five drugs were listed to be used, either alone or in combination, including potent hallucinogenic LSD.
“After considerable experimentation” Dr. Cameron managed to create an official procedure to create “lasting changes in a patient’s behaviour,” that, in what was deemed “successful” cases, caused a patient to act differently for up to two months. Broken into four parts, Cameron’s procedure was as follows:
Use of intensive electroshocks to break down a patient’s behavior (“depatterning”)
Forced listening of a repetitive “verbal signal” for 16 hours a day, over 6-7 days (“intensive repetition”)
Covering of the eyes and ears in order to deprive the senses during the intensive repetition (“sensory isolation”)
Putting the patient into a drug-induced coma, with sleep periods lasting 7-10 days (“repression of the driving period”)
By April 23rd, 1959, over 100 individuals were subjected to the Subproject 68 procedure, already seems quite extreme.
In practice, the experiments enacted by Cameron onto his unwitting patients, who had no idea they were guinea pigs in a CIA-funded experiment, were far more horrific.
The Treatment: LSD, Comas, & Electroshock Therapy
Back in the late 50s, electroshock therapy was quite common. Generally, a doctor would administer a 110-volt shock for less than a second, around once a day.
Cameron, wanting to speed up the process of depatterning, increased the voltage to 150 volts, shocking patients two or three times a day for 30 days. When patients showed signs of confusion or a bad reaction, a sign you should stop electroshock therapy, Cameron was delighted, seeing the negative effects as a positive sign that the treatment was working.
Cameron’s intensive repetition process was equally extreme. First, patients would have their senses dulled physically, through the covering of the eyes and attaching pillows around the ears, and physiologically, by injecting patients with drugs. Using curare, which causes the paralysis of bodily functions, Cameron ensured his patients were entirely subdued and helpless.
The “verbal signals” Cameron forced drugged patients to listen to for a majority of the day were uniquely sadistic. To get rid of unwanted behavior, Cameron subjected his helpless patients to recordings of negative statements. A recovered recording included statements like “you let your mother check you up sexually after every date you had with a boy” and “you don’t seem to…keep a good relationship with your husband.”
After prolonged exposure to the negative, a positive verbal signal would then follow, with similarly personal statements made. One case deemed a “failure” by Cameron had a woman placed in “prolonged sensory isolation” accompanied by “repeated depatterning” for 35 days, with the positive driving process lasting 101 days. Cameron stated no progress was made.
To ensure the reconditioning stuck, according to Cameron’s reasoning, patients were placed into periods of forced sleep. Far longer than originally outlined, patients were forcibly kept in slumber for incredibly long periods of time.
In one case, a patient was forced into a state of sleep for 65 days.
A large majority of these experiments occurred in what was referred to as the “sleep room” by patients. Despite being kept in a childlike state due to the mass amount of drugs they received, patients still knew to fear the sleep room. Their collective terror was so intense, patients would walk with their back to the wall when passing the door to the sleep room, fearing their return.
LSD also played a role in Cameron’s work, with shots of the hallucinogenic drug given to patients in isolation. One account tells of how Cameron would give a female patient, referred to as Mrs. Orlikow, a shot of LSD, paired with a stimulant or depressant, then leave her alone in her room with a recording of her past session with the doctor playing.
In total, Mrs. Orlikow received 14 shots of LSD. Terrified by the experience every time, Mrs. Orlikow asked Cameron if the treatment could be stopped. Cameron talked Mrs. Orlikow out of it, with the patient later commenting, “I thought he was God,” and she would have done anything her esteemed psychiatrist recommended.
Val Orleco told a similar tale, recounting how she received LSD through an IV, and the intense fear she experienced from the hallucinations and sensations. No one had asked her if she was willing.
Commenting on the state of patients in general, Orleco described herself and her peers as crying, disoriented babies.
One documented “success” of this treatment, as noted by Cameron, describes a patient who had lost all of his schizophrenic behaviours. But, there was a price to pay, as the patient also experienced “complete amnesia for all events in his life.”
Many of Cameron’s other patients shared a similar fate.
The Victims: Forever Altered
The easiest and most accessible way to learn about the effect Cameron’s procedures and MKUltra Subproject 68 had on its many patients is to read this Reddit testimonial. Basically, the author tells the tale of a woman who was seeking other patients of Dr. Cameron, and her apparent paranoia, fear, and mildly delusional state, all evident from a phone call.
Verifying the account isn’t really possible. But after comparing the woman’s mental state nearly 40 years after her escape from Cameron’s treatments with testimonials from other patients, the story rings true.
Of Cameron’s many patients, 60% experienced amnesia for a full six months to ten years after leaving the Allen. Some patients never fully recovered, needing the aid of lists to remember to perform even the simplest tasks, like household chores.
Gail Kastner, who received $100,000 in reparations from a law suit against the CIA that was settled out of court, consistently had nightmares of a “tall man” giving her electroshocks. Originally inducted as a patient at the age of 19 for mild depression, Gail’s life afterwards was riddled with drug addiction problems, hospital visits, and irreparable brain damage.
Esther Schrier, originally sent to the Allen to deal with the depression she faced after losing her baby, lost her ability to be a mother after leaving Cameron’s care. Despite giving birth to a new baby, she was unable to care for the child, and only went on to lead a somewhat normal life thanks to the support of her husband and family.
Bevan Weldon’s mother died in his arms, and the trauma effected him so deeply that he went to the Allen to seek psychiatric treatment. Weldon experienced an entire dissociation of his former self afterwards. Kept in a coma for 21 days, Weldon lost the memory of his mother’s death, which never returned, even fifty years later.
Cameron essentially took that part of Weldon’s life from him, because, as Weldon put it “life is memory.”
It’s important to note that, at some point, whether originally or after the project had started, the Canadian government became involved with, sanctioned, and funded Subproject 68. The exact level of involvement by the Canadian government is largely unknown, though it is believed they funded similar experimentation even after Subproject 68 “officially” ended.
The nation’s government did feel guilty enough to offer $100, 000 in reparations to 77 former patients.
Nine victims of Cameron’s work also received an out-of-court settlement of $750,000 from the CIA when they sued the government agency in the 1980s. Many believe the settlement was made to ensure no further details of Project MKUltra would be revealed in the courtroom.
As for Cameron himself, his story ends soon after Subproject 68. In February, 1963 at a meeting of the American Psychopathological Association, Cameron admitted to taking a wrong turn during his research. Abruptly, Cameron then abandoned his work, and soon after, in 1967, the doctor died at the age of 65 in Lake Placid, New York.
But despite the lasting impact Cameron and Subproject 68 had on many Canadians, few Montrealers today even know this CIA-funded brainwashing initiative occurred in the city. In fact, many believe Subproject 68 to be a myth.
Haunted Montreal’s Mountain Tours reference Subproject 68, but only focus on a theory that the graves situated behind the wall between the Ravenscrag and the Royal Victoria property are unmarked because they contain the bodies of First Nations children experimented upon by Cameron.
While this theory is chilling, and comments on the continued abuse of First Nations peoples, it is only a theory, whereas the other horrors associated with Cameron’s work are based in actual fact.
To borrow terminology, Montreal has seemingly depatterned its collective memory, choosing to not remember the events that took place at the Allen in the late 1950s and early 60s, under the leadership of Dr. Ewan Cameron. And it’s not a surprise why.
Montreal, and Canada as a whole, would rather place Subproject 68 in the realm of conspiracies, a mere tale that sounds too horrific to be true. Not all history is happy, however, and it’s time Montreal started recognizing what happened within the walls of the city all those years ago.”

“Otis to upgrade Empire State Building’s elevators
by dbcooper41 » Mon Jun 20, 2011 3:22 pm
to me this story is interesting because i firmly believe the world trade center elevator upgrade project was the cover for wiring the buildings to explode.
it provided all the unlimited access they needed to pull wires, plant explosives, as well as install and test firing controllers.
the charges appear to have been in the elevator shafts and the behavior of the ace elevator techs on 9/11/2001 was quite suspect.
only 1 elevator tech died on 9/11 and he worked for another company, otis iirc, at another building.
the ACE guys all scattered like roaches.
i’m not suggesting they are gonna blow up the empire state building(not saying they won’t either) but, an important point is made in the story:
“Only three elevator manufacturers —
Schindler, ThyssenKrupp and Otis — could credibly compete, he said.”
so, how did a no-name company called ACE elevator, which appears to be a mobbed up front company, manage to land the contract to upgrade the wtc elevators following the 1993 bombing?
an upgrade that was the largest in all of recorded history. then ACE seems to have disappeared, though i have tracked a few employees to charlotte,n.c. and then england. the company seems to have gone brigadoon on us.
if you don’t know the ace elevator story i suggest you look in to it. i’ll look for my old reference material on it and answer any questions i can.”
“Serco farewell to NPL after 19 years of innovation

Published: 8 Jan 2015
Serco said goodbye to the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) at the end of December 2014 after 19 years of extraordinary innovation and science that has seen the establishment build a world-leading reputation and deliver billions of pounds of benefit for the UK economy. During that period under Serco’s management and leadership, NPL has delivered an extraordinary variety and breadth of accomplishments for the UK’s economy and industry. Some of the key achievements during that time have been: –
The beneficial impact of NPL’s work to the economy is estimated at £2Bn pa.
In 2012, NPL’s role in building the first maser to operate at room temperature was nominated by Physics World as one of the top ten breakthroughs of the year (CERN topped the list for their discovery of a Higgs-like particle).
NPL was instrumental in gaining a 50% increase in European funding for the EMPIR programme, with a total of EUR 600m.
It has been estimated that work carried out by the Centre of Carbon Measurement at NPL will save eight million tonnes of carbon emissions reductions (2% of UK footprint) and over half a billion pounds in economic benefit over the next decade.
Annually over 145,000 people undergoing radiotherapy have relied upon NPL for accurate delivery; it has been estimated that NPL’s contribution to improving the accuracy of the radiation dose patients receive can save at least an additional 145 lives each year.
NPL’s work on graphene – the new material that could revolutionise the future of high-speed electronics – has been widely acknowledged following a paper in Nature Nanotechnology and then was cited as one of 44 papers as part of 2010’s Nobel Prize in Physics.
NPL achieved 11% per annum growth in third-party business since 2004; such work now accounts for over 40% of the lab’s revenue, with £52M orders achieved in 2014.
Under Serco’s management, Alan Turnbull was the first NPL scientist in many years to be elected as a Fellow of The Royal Society; Professor John Pethica, NPL’s Chief Scientist was knighted, Seton Bennett was awarded a CBE, Kamal Hossain an OBE, and Patrick Gill and Michael de Podesta were awarded MBEs.
NPL’s caesium fountain atomic clock is accurate to 1 second in 158 million years and NPL is playing a key role in introducing rigour to high frequency trading in the City through NPLTime.”

“Rothschild ‘spied as the Fifth Man’

The Independent Online
THE LATE Lord Rothschild, scientist, think-tank head, first- class cricketer, bomb-disposal expert and MI5 agent, was a super-spy for the Russians, according to a forthcoming book.
The Fifth Man, by the Australian author Roland Perry, claims to prove that Victor Rothschild stole ‘all major UK/US weapons developments in the Second World War’, including biological warfare, the atomic bomb and radar.
Specifically, he alleges that Rothschild, not Klaus Fuchs, or, as is generally believed, the civil servant John Cairncross, first alerted Stalin to Allied plans to build an atom bomb using plutonium 235.
Perry also claims that Rothschild, who died in 1990, was involved ‘in so many aspects of spying that he seemed like a super-agent, sabotaging every Western intelligence initiative for 20 years after the war’.
The evidence offered is largely derived from three days of interviews in Moscow with seven retired KGB officers, some identified only by initials.”
“During the Second World War Victor worked for the Intelligence Service, and earned the George Medal for his bomb disposal work. In early 1939, he travelled to the United States where he visited the White House to discuss the issue of accepting Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany. In 1939, he was recruited to work for MI5 where he remained for the duration of the War. He was attached to B division, under deputy director Guy Liddell, responsible for counterespionage. In 1940 he produced a series of secret reports on German Espionage Under cover of Commerce and later founded section ‘B1c’ at Wormwood Scrubs, the wartime home of MI5. This was an ‘explosives and sabotage section’, and worked on identifying where Britain’s war effort was vulnerable to sabotage and counter German sabotage attempts. This included personally dismantling examples of German booby traps and disguised explosives. For this, he was awarded won the George Medal in 1944 for dangerous work in hazardous circumstances. This involved dismantling a pair of German time bombs concealed in boxes of Spanish onions in Northampton. By late 1944, Victor was attached to the 105 Special Counter Intelligence Unit of the SHAEF, a joint operation of MI5 and X2, the counterespionage branch of OSS, a precursor of the CIA, operating in Paris.
After the War, Victor combined his academic interests with work for industry, joining the zoology department at Cambridge University. For his work on fertilization, he gained a DSc in 1950. He served as Chairman of the Agricultural Research Council from 1948 to 1958 and in 1961 he began work for Shell Research Ltd., serving as its Chairman from 1963 until his retirement in 1970. Victor was the first Director General of the Central Policy Review Staff from 1971 to 1974 (known popularly as ‘The Think Tank’), a unit which researched policy specifically for the Government. In 1976 Victor chaired the Royal Commission on Gambling. In 1982 he published An Enquiry into the Social Science Research Council at the behest of Sir Keith Joseph, and he continued to work in security as an adviser to Margaret Thatcher. Throughout his life he was a valued adviser on intelligence and science to both Conservative and Labour Governments.”
“The Tizard Mission, officially the British Technical and Scientific Mission, was a British delegation that visited the United States during the Second World War in order to obtain the industrial resources to exploit the military potential of the research and development (R&D) work completed by the UK up to the beginning of World War II, but that Britain itself could not exploit due to the immediate requirements of war-related production. It received its popular name from the program’s instigator, Henry Tizard. Tizard was a British scientist and chairman of the Aeronautical Research Committee, which had propelled the development of radar. .. The objective of the mission was to cooperate in science and technology with the U.S., which was neutral and, in many quarters, unwilling to become involved in the war. The U.S. had greater resources for development and production, which Britain desperately wanted to use. The information provided by the British delegation was subject to carefully vetted security procedures, and contained some of the greatest scientific advances made during the war. The shared technology included radar (in particular the greatly improved cavity magnetron which the American historian James Phinney Baxter III later called “the most valuable cargo ever brought to our shores”),[1] the design for the proximity VT fuse, details of Frank Whittle’s jet engine and the Frisch–Peierls memorandum describing the feasibility of an atomic bomb. Though these may be considered the most significant, many other items were also transported, including designs for rockets, superchargers, gyroscopic gunsights, submarine detection devices, self-sealing fuel tanks and plastic explosives.”

“Jerome H. Lemelson’s Prisoner tracking and warning system and corresponding methods US 6054928 A
ABSTRACT
A system and method for tracking, monitoring and learning prisoner or parolee behavior involves obtaining prisoner or parolee data and monitoring data for at least one individual prisoner or parolee, storing the prisoner or parolee data and monitored data into a database, learning prisoner or parolee behavior from the prisoner or parolee data and the monitored data in the database, and updating the prisoner or parolee data and the monitored data in the database. Expert system (i.e. including but not limited to fuzzy logic, reinforcement learning, neural networks, artificial intelligence, etc.) algorithms are executed for determining and analyzing deviated behavior by the prisoner or parolee. A parole level is assigned to the prisoner or parolee and it is determined whether the prisoner or parolee is to be moved up or down a parole level depending on whether the prisoner or parolee behavior does not constitute or does constitute prisoner or parolee violations. Furthermore, the system tracks, monitors, and learns the behavior of the prisoner or parolee by controlling and regulating the permitted/prohibited locations or sectors, the permitted/prohibited location or sector dwell times, the permitted/prohibited travel routes, the permitted/prohibited travel times that the prisoner or parolee spends at or between various locations.

“Jerome H. Lemelson’s Friend or foe detection system and method and expert system military action advisory system and method US 6166679 A
ABSTRACT
A friend or foe detection system and method is disclosed. Friend or foe warning unit 20 has a geographic locating system, a communication system for communicating with each of the warning units, and a military force detection system for detecting military forces in a combat area and has a signal routing and control circuitry 50 for controlling operations. A number of components, devices, or sub-systems, such as a transmitter/receiver radio 28, an antenna 26, a microphone 30, a speaker 32, a battery 34, a display 36, a microprocessor 38, a memory 40, a camera 56, a radar/lidar input 54, on/off switch 52, a GPS location system 45 that includes a GPS processor 46, a GPS receiver 42, a GPS antenna 44, are coupled to the circuitry 50. Display 36 provides a display to the user of the unit 20 and shows the location of friendly forces as well as unfriendly or unidentified forces in the area. Display 36 displays text messages for the user of the warning unit 20. The microprocessor 38 together with memory 40 provide microprocessor control of the operations of the warning unit 20. The geographic locating system includes GPS processor 46, GPS receiver 42, and GPS antenna 44, and it is used to determine the exact location of the warning unit 20. The unit 20 is able to broadcast and receive military force information, such as location and status (i.e. friendly, unfriendly, unidentified statuses). An expert system military action advisory system and method for advising military troops or personnel of firing decisions is also disclosed. A firing index is determined based on the membership variables, and the firing index is used to help make the firing decisions. The membership variables and the firing index are defined for an expert system or fuzzy logic system, and the expert system or fuzzy logic system helps determine making the firing decisions. The system and method operate by transmitting target and friendly force GPS coordinate information to determine danger. Alternatively, only target coordinates are transmitted with fire danger indices calculated on a distributed basis by individual warning units and transmitted to the source of fire without friendly force location coordinates to assist in making final firing decisions.

“A proxy war, occasionally also called a proxy fight, is an armed conflict between two states or non-state actors which act on the instigation or on behalf of other parties that are not directly involved in the hostilities.[1] In order for a conflict to be considered a proxy war, there must be a direct, long-term relationship between external actors and the belligerents involved.[2] The aforementioned relationship usually takes the form of funding, military training, arms, or other forms of material assistance which assist a belligerent party in sustaining its war effort.[2]”
