“Rappoport, are you trying to explode Reality itself? Is that what you’re doing now?”
Inquiring substack readers want to know
I’ve been at this thing called writing since I was 17. I’m 85 now. I published my first article in 1982. That’s when I turned pro.
Like other writers I know, I can say: I’ve provided enough pure fact and evidence and data to turn America into the Constitutional Republic it once was—if that were possible.
I’ve uncovered enough charlatans and predators to revolutionize morality in this country—if that were possible.
These aren’t extreme statements. They’re definitely not statements of defeat. I don’t ever admit defeat. The war for freedom is longer than people realize—going back in time and going forward. I’ve called it the 10,000 year war; putting us somewhere in the middle of it now.
And when I say freedom, I include rebellion, and also accountability, meaning freedom is not license to do anything—like smashing an old lady on the head with a brick. That’s lower than animal behavior. As everybody once knew, freedom means limitless action in any direction which doesn’t impinge on another’s freedom.
So all of the above is a bit of background, before answering the question in the headline of this piece:
OF COURSE I’M TRYING TO EXPLODE REALITY ITSELF. Because that’s what Reality needs. A fresh start.
Reality is now a beggar on Welfare.
Reality is now a guy trying to game the system with blatant cons so obvious, you wonder why and how he’s walking around outside prison walls.
Reality is now what surrealism once was in the arts.
Reality is now a contest to see who can make the most absurd political claims. Whose towering lie is the highest lie?
Reality is not abstract, because a man trying to make ends meet for his family is up against the shrinking power of the dollar—and that shrinking comes down the pipeline at him from plans and manipulations and ideas at high levels—plans designed to discourage him and knock him down.
Reality is a huge welcome sign posted at the southern border—an invitation to hump in one of the most lethal drugs ever invented: fentanyl. Enough of it to kill the entire population of America a dozen times over.
Reality is Joe Biden, a demented snapping turtle, calling people who chop off their genitals great American heroes. THESE are the new Thomas Paines and Ben Franklins.
I could go on—and have.
In the middle of all this reality, people are doing over their own minds to be as modern as possible; which is to say, they’re trying to become data processors, software, algorithms, mechanical objects.
So yes, I’m exploding Reality.
The exploding starts with individual minds...
