Doing my morning doom-scrolling through Twitter yesterday, I came across a video clip of retired Air Force Lt. General Steve Kwast in the feed.
General
Kwast is a badass - I’ve met him a few times at the Badlands GART
events. He attends almost every single one, trying to keep us in line I
presume. I’ll be seeing him in a few weeks at the next GART in
Massachusetts, you can check out virtual and in-person tickets for it here.
This
particular video clip is 6 years old, from a 2019 lecture he gave at
Hillsdale College right after he retired from the Air Force in 2019. The
full speech is a good one. Interestingly, a group of his colleagues were pushing real hard
for him to become head of the newly created Space Force at the time. He
decided to retire and do his own thing, going into the private sector
instead and working with start-up companies like SpaceBilt and Genesis Water Systems.
In
this particular lecture, he discusses paradigm shattering technologies
and the need for our country to innovate them, such as propulsion
systems that could “to deliver any human being from any place on Earth
to any other place in less than an hour”, and space-based technology
that could wirelessly beam energy into our electric devices, “trickle
charging”, ridding the need for us to ever plug our devices into an
outlet to charge them or need transmission wires scattered across the
countryside. This is what Nikola Tesla was envisioned, and Gen. Kwast is
doing his darnedest to try to bring that to reality.

The
full lecture is a fascinating one, describing how we can and should be
utilizing the space domain for manufacturing, energy generation,
communication, and information - and all the ways this new domain can
make human life on this planet easier and cheaper.
I shared this post
to my Twitter feed at approximately 10:30am. One hour later, I noticed
General Michael Flynn caught wind of the post as well, and shared the video clip to multiple accounts of his - Telegram and Twitter - with a very important question:
”Why are we NOT bringing these capabilities to the United States right now.”
I would argue these capabilities are
in the United States already, they are just locked away in black
projects under the control of the military-industrial-complex and/or
corporate contractors. Some of these dark forces may have very well allowed the Chinese Communist Party to steal, or in some cases even sold
this technology to them. This would explain China’s incredible speed at
advancing their stealth, communication, and space-faring capabilities.
In fact, General Kwast and I can answer that exact question as to why these technologies aren’t being developed in detail, because we have before.
I interviewed him for my Conspiracy Analytica podcast approximately a year ago, and in this particular video clip
I inquire to Gen. Kwast about the reasons why these technologies are
having a tough time getting into the public domain, and he boiled it
down to 4 overarching reasons.
These 4 reasons are his - I offer my own description of the respective issue under each.
1) Military-Industrial-Complex
The
murky world of the MIC’s classified special access projects. This group
primarily uses the ambiguous reasoning of ‘national security’ to strike
patents and inventions secret, à la the Invention Secrecy Act of 1952.
Or the MIC may convince a patriotic inventor that working with the
government in secret on his technology is the right thing to do - for
the good of the country, son. Unfortunately, that technology may then
never see the light of day, and being purposefully memory holed in a
black project lab somewhere. There is also the issue of the overall
bureaucracy, whereby research and development takes ages because of
complacent government officials who don’t want to push the envelope, not
allowing private innovators to innovate and bring disruptive
technologies to market.
2) Ideological
Some
humans are so wrapped up in their ego identities that they genuinely
want people in adversarial countries to suffer, or the world itself for
that matter, so people from China, Israel, America, Russia and others
are actively undermining the development of one another. It may not only
be a country identity but it also could be a religious belief system,
or a scientific one, even. Humans battling humans because of a “my team
is better than yours” mentality, so these technologies get destroyed or
stolen, or forgotten about and avoided because of a need for “my people
to win out over your people”. Of course, we don’t want evil, corrupt
people to gain access to exotic technologies and do wicked things with
them, but, for the sake of humanity, it might be wise drop our
differences and ultimately work together in the spirit of friendly
competition.
3) Corporate Greed
Some
people’s ego identities are caught up in money, image, and status.
Selfish millionaires and billionaires tend to have a vested interest in
keeping their business growing and crushing any competition that comes
their way. These oligarchs may try to have their MIC government friends
deal the issue, or they hire private contractors to silence and
suppress. You’re building a car that runs on water? Suicide. He’s
creating some coils that pull electricity from the aether? Heart attack.
Pay enough money and maybe you can buy the rights to the inventor’s
machine and shelve it. Or hey, pay a dude to burn down the inventor’s
lab in the middle of the night (much less messy that way). It’s not just
the billionaires in this caregory though, but the common man as well. A
scientists wants to keep his grant money rolling to fund his projects
or worker is complacent with his job at the refinery, so they don’t want
to bother with any other systems or paradigms than what’s keeping them
fed and clothed. The System. The Matrix.
4) Fear
Then
you have your people who are downright scared. I think 99% of people
are here. Scared to question the fundamental laws of physics and imagine
other possibilities of reality, not bothering to even entertain idea
that push boundaries because “pshhh dummy, there’s no way that could
happen, that goes against Newton’s Laws or Einstein’s Theories”… but
does it? Or were their “laws” and theories only true… in certain
situations? Scientific minds can sure be closed, and religious ones can
be, too. Maybe a technology is so mind blowing and exotic that it’s
labeled witchcraft or the work of the devil. M, ma, mama said! Maybe we
need to rethink a lot of things.
In Kwast’s Hillsdale clip above, he mentioned “Our paradigm today.. is expensive, dangerous, and wasteful.”
Paradigm - concepts that shape how we understand and approach reality.
Belief systems about what is, what has been, and what could be.
Do we take the blue pill and continue having our paradigms molded for us, keeping us stuck in this self-limiting box?
Or do we take the red pill, see how deep the rabbit hole goes, and find out what’s possible for us humans in it?
