How we are Getting Around

I hope you all had a nice Christmas. The Woods home is a disaster area, but we're allowing ourselves one more day of laziness before we all pitch in to get it shipshape again.Last week I emailed you about one of the best episodes -- out of 2,257 of them -- of the Tom Woods Show I've ever done, on vaccine-injured people in the age of Covid. My guest and I were discussing Anecdotals, an extremely powerful new film that the filmmaker -- herself vaccine injured -- is giving away for free in order to get the word out.Since that time, the video streaming service that the creators were using to transmit the film canceled their account for "misinformation" -- because vaccine-injured people aren't allowed to tell their stories.(I don't have to tell you that the FBI, which presumably runs YouTube the way it once did Twitter, made sure the film was instantly removed from that platform.)Thankfully they had a backup and are up and running again. But I believe in supporting people who are fighting back against this dystopian suppression of dissident voices.A few weeks ago on the Tom Woods Show I interviewed Cory Tucek, who created Movies Plus as a free-speech movie and television series streaming platform. They're a platform for all kinds of interesting, outside-the-box, independent films, and not just documentaries. And I'll tell you, it hasn't been easy. For example, Movies Plus is the only movie platform that features the docuseries Q Sent Me, about the Q Shaman from January 6.I don't care what you think about that guy, whether you think he was a fed plant, or just a weirdo, or whatever. There is no reason someone shouldn't be able to make a straightforward documentary about him and have the public be able to watch it. No reason. But because they're featuring that documentary, Movies Plus has been treated as radioactive by both left and right. You know all those supposedly bold and cheeky right-wing outlets out there that aren't going to be deterred by the censors? Every last one of them has run for cover rather than defend Movies Plus.So many creeps out there, and so few genuine supporters of free speech. We already know where the Big Tech platforms stand: when Movies Plus tried to run ads, they were struck down within minutes by Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.Tucek has ambitions for provocative original documentaries, but they're running into the kinds of roadblocks all independent voices are hitting these days. And that's where you and I come in.Movies Plus is a worthy project, run by one of our own, and deserves our support. The bad guys all support each other. You almost have to admire their loyalty and devotion. Will we support our own?As a gesture of thanks for getting their story out to the public, Movies Plus is giving my readers 20% off an annual subscription with code WOODS, so take advantage of that while helping support an alternative to the evil censors:  Tom Woods
