Who Was Behind the Nordstream 2022 Sabotage? Reuters
According to Reuters Report entitled Kremlin Says Germany Is Right to Fully Investigate Nord Stream Pipeline Blasts (September 9, 2024), the Kremlin acknowledged that Germany’s “Chancellor Olaf Scholz was right to want a thorough investigation into a 2022 attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines”:
Scholz said in an interview with German television over the weekend that Berlin’s investigation would make sure that nothing was concealed and do its best to ensure that those responsible for the blasts were punished.
Moscow has repeatedly complained that Germany has not been doing enough to investigate the explosions, which in September 2022 ruptured the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines that were built to carry Russian gas to Europe under the Baltic Sea.
But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday welcomed Scholz’s latest comments.
“We absolutely agree that the terrorist attack, the sabotage of the Nord Streams must be thoroughly investigated, despite the desperate attempts of some states involved in this story to hush it up,” Peskov told reporters on Monday, without naming the countries he was accusing of a cover-up.

What the September 2024 report fails to acknowledge is that both President Joe Biden as well as Chancellor Olaf Scholz played a key role in endorsing the conduct of the sabotage of Nord Stream.
Smoking Gun: Ironically the evidence was confirmed by an earlier Reuters report conducted at a White House Press Conference on February 7, 2022

President Joe Biden together with Chancellor Scholz made the following statements in response to Reuters prominent journalist Andrea Shalal. (See Andrea Shalal, et al Reuters)
Reuters. Andra -Andrea [Shalal] You’ve got the first question.
Q Thank you, Mr. President. And thank you, Chancellor Scholz. Mr. President, I have wanted to ask you about this Nord Stream project that you’ve long opposed.
You didn’t mention it just now by name, nor did Chancellor Scholz.
Did you receive assurances from Chancellor Scholz today that Germany will, in fact, pull the plug on this project if Russia invades Ukraine? And did you discuss what the definition of “invasion” could be?
P
RESIDENT BIDEN: The
first question first. If Germany — if Russia invades — that means
tanks or troops crossing the — the border of Ukraine again — then there will be — we — there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2.
We will bring an end to it.
Q But how will you — how will you do that exactly, since the project and control of the project is within Germany’s control?
PRESIDENT BIDEN: We will — I promise you, we’ll be able to do it.
This statement was followed by a question directed to Chancellor Olaf Scholz:
Q And will you commit today — will you commit today to turning off and pulling the plug on Nord Stream 2? You didn’t mention it, and you haven’t mentioned it.
CHANCELLOR SCHOLZ: As I’ve already said, we are acting together, we are absolutely united, and we will not be taking different steps.
We will do the same steps, and they will be very, very hard to Russia, and they should understand.
Ironically Chancellor Olaf Scholz who provided Joe Biden with permission to “Pulling the Plug” on Nord Stream-2, was concurrently involved in conducting a “thorough Investigation” of who was behind the Nordstream 2. sabotage.
Punishing those Responsible? Mea Culpa
