Stopping the Shots: Reports Suggest Trump Preparing to Ban COVID-19 Vaccines
In what would amount to a dramatic reversal of America’s official public health policy, reports suggest the Trump administration may be considering suspending the use of COVID-19 vaccines. With the President already recently ordering an end to federal funding for schools that require the injections, key figures close to him are said to be voicing serious concerns about the potential harm being caused by the shots – concerns that have been repeatedly ignored by governments and health authorities worldwide.
Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, nominated by Trump to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has previously endorsed calls for a pause and thorough reassessment of the mRNA forms of the vaccines, citing growing evidence of a ‘causal link’ with alarming rises in excess deaths worldwide. Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., newly installed as head of America’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and a long-time advocate for vaccine safety, has reportedly signaled his willingness to halt COVID-19 injections if the scientific data supports such action. Among Kennedy’s advisors, British cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra has similarly been vocal about the need to reevaluate the risks.
Links to Serious Health Problems
The ultrarapid rollout of COVID-19 vaccines was originally promoted by the scientific establishment as a medical breakthrough. Since then, emerging evidence suggests the risks may have been severely underestimated. But while reports of serious health problems and unexplained excess deaths continue to mount, these are still being largely downplayed by the same institutions and individuals that originally promoted the rollout of the injections as being safe.
The push to discredit concerns over the shots has been relentless. Figures such as Dr. Paul Offit, an American pediatrician, continue to publicly defend them despite the increasing reports of adverse effects. While Offit and others argue that billions of doses have been administered, they fail to acknowledge the limitations of current surveillance systems in capturing the full extent of the resulting injuries.
The Tide May be Turning
A total ban on COVID-19 vaccines in the United States would essentially require the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to openly acknowledge the existence of the emerging scientific evidence. For an agency that has promoted the shots so aggressively, this would clearly represent a significant admission of failure. Given its infamously close relationship with the pharmaceutical industry, the FDA will inevitably therefore resist such a move.
At state level, however, the tide may already be turning. Two states – Idaho and Montana – are currently considering legislation to ban use of the mRNA forms of the vaccines, with legislators citing serious concerns about long-term effects that have not been properly studied. Lawmakers in several other states are similarly now believed to be looking at suspending the shots.
The World Deserves the Truth
The scientific community can no longer afford to ignore the warning signs. Far from being a political move, however, the suspension of COVID-19 vaccines should instead be seen as a responsible step toward protecting public health. With growing voices worldwide now calling for an honest reassessment of the situation, and evidence clearly suggesting the mRNA forms of the vaccines are associated with more serious harms than originally claimed, the time has come to demand accountability from the people who pushed the injections but failed to give them sufficient scrutiny. After being confined to their homes and then coerced into receiving the unproven, experimental vaccinations, the people of America and the world deserve to be told the truth.
