Video: Ensuring Objective Science

Medical journals act as a public library for scientific articles, which can be a helpful reference tool for public health officials, regulatory agencies, professors, doctors, lawyers, elected officials, parents and journalists. They shape the practice of medicine, education and population health trends.

Problems arise, however, when authors and publishers have financial conflicts to favor certain opinions while suppressing alternative viewpoints to achieve an agenda. As a result, researchers may find it difficult to share their peer-reviewed data with those entities and individuals — a detriment to human health and informed consent.

To share more about this important topic, James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D. makes a guest appearance on “Financial Rebellion” today. Viewers, be sure to watch!
