Yair Netanyahu previously praised vaccine

Yair Netanyahu, son of former Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has always been a staunch COVID-19 vaccine supporter, introduced during his father’s tenure.

When Benjamin Netanyahu in March 2021 suggested that Israelis may need to get the shot every half year, political commentator Michelle Malkin tweeted, “NO. NO. HELL NO.”

Responding to her tweet, Yair Netanyahu praised the vaccine in a tweet that has not aged well.

“Michelle why no? I got the vaccine , and im all good! It’ll probably be once a year, like the flu vaccines are for decades now. What’s the big deal? Now in Israel we went back to normal like before 2019! everything is open! including clubs, sport events , concerts etc.”

But less than a year later, Israelis were already subjected to two more doses of the vaccine, and the government refused to “go back to normal”. Instead, current Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his cabinet increased mandates, being the first country in the world to introduce a “vaccine passport” and segregate society.

But now, the former prime minister’s son does not sound as enthusiastic about the vaccine, reporting an odd adverse side effect on social media. Still, Netanyahu began his post defending the vaccine, though it is unclear if that was for fear of backlash.

“I am in favor of corona vaccines and think they are life savers and call on anyone who has not had enough, to go get vaccinated,” he began his post on Telegram. “I myself have been vaccinated 3 times.”

“There is but a strange phenomenon since I did the first vaccine that I can not decipher and I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing it,” he continued. “Since the vaccine my skin has really changed and matured. Before the vaccine I could be in the sun for hours without sunscreen, and since the vaccine I have been burned and turned red after 5 minutes in the sun. Also my facial skin is getting oily all the time. Has anyone else experienced strange side effects on the skin following the vaccine?"

According to documents recently released by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under court order, Pfizer was forced to hire 600 new employees just to handle the reports of adverse vaccine side effects following the FDA’s emergency use authorization.

“More are joining each month with an expected total of more than 1,800 additional resources by the end of June 2021,” Pfizer wrote.
