In 1995, just about one hundred years after the inception of modern institutional schooling in America, the little town of Benson in western Vermont set a national record  by voting down its proposed school budget for the twelfth time. Charlie Usher, assistant superintendent in Benson, declared his bewilderment at the town's irresponsibility. Mr. Usher suggested the task was to get "at the root of why people would be willing to let  their schools fall apart..."

 

I think Mr. Usher is right, so let's see what we can turn up by using common sense. But first, to show how united in outrage Benson school officials  were, Education Week, the bible of the teaching business, quoted Theresa Mulholland,  principal at the Benson school (more on this shortly) as saying nobody in town had a  good explanation for what they were doing: "I think they just want to say 'No,' " she  said, as if those townspeople were ornery kids or retarded children. Benson just didn't get  it. Schools need lots of money, or, as Usher suggested, they fall apart.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a first-class medical clearance to a pilot whose medical history includes “possible” vaccine-induced myocarditis, according to a letter leaked anonymously by a pilot.

This letter was leaked amid recent revelations the FAA is prioritizing keeping pilots in the air at the expense of the safety of pilots, passengers and the general public.

FAA data indicate the number of medical flight diversions increased in 2021 and 2022, compared to 2019 and prior.

Other documents reveal that in 2021, the FAA strongly recommended, in writing, pilots receive the COVID-19 vaccines issued under an emergency use authorization (EUA), despite the agency’s own regulations prohibiting pilots from taking medications or therapeutics that have been on the market for 12 months or less.

The United States has again secured its spot as “the most dangerous place” among high income countries to give birth, with the maternal mortality rate seeing a 40 percent increase from 2020-2021. These are the highest numbers since 1965. The U.S. has long ranked as the country with the highest mortality rates “by a significant margin” in the developed world, making this increase even more alarming.¹

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also reported that the most affected group of mothers were Black mothers, who had more than double the maternal mortality rate as White mothers. Maternal mortality rates for Black women (69.9 deaths per 100,000 live births or 1 in 1,430) were disproportionately higher when compared with White women (26.6 deaths per 100,000 or 1 in 3,759). Among the reasons cited for this disparity is inferior quality of care that Black women receive before, during, and after pregnancy; lack of insurance coverage; and higher rates of cardiovascular conditions, hemorrhage, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and blood disorders among the Black population.²

Pfizer and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) withheld evidence that COVID-19 vaccinations led to an increased risk of myocarditis, especially in young males, according to two sets of documents made public this week.

Confidential Pfizer documents leaked Thursday by Project Veritas show the company had “evidence that suggests patients who receive a COVID-19 vaccine are at an increased risk of myocarditis.”

And heavily redacted CDC documents obtained by Children’s Health Defense (CHD) via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request indicate the agency provided an undercounted figure of post-COVID-19-vaccination myocarditis cases to Israel’s Ministry of Health in early 2021.

The latest revelations come as Germany, Japan and other governments are raising questions about the significant numbers of severe adverse events recorded in individuals following administration of the COVID-19 vaccines.

According to researchers at the National Organization for Rare Disorders, myocarditis can result from infections, or it may result directly from a toxic effect such as a toxin or a virus.

Critics of for-profit care have long decried private equity‘s focus on maximizing returns through practices including slashing staff, surprising patients with astronomical bills and eschewing low-margin care upon which vulnerable populations rely.

The new report — authored primarily by Public Citizen healthcare policy advocate Eagan Kemp — examines investment firms’ impact on more than a dozen healthcare sectors, from reproductive health through end-of-life care.

“Private equity acquisitions in the healthcare sector have steadily climbed since the financial crisis in 2009, particularly in the past five years,” a summary of the report notes.

The United Nations (U.N.) announced in August 2020 that the electric car boom will result in a number of devastating ecological side effects for the planet.

While the shift to electric cars reflects ongoing efforts to reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuels, the UN warns that the raw materials used to produce electric car batteries are highly concentrated in a small number of countries and their extraction and refinement pose a serious threat to the environment.

The U.N. trade body, UNCTAD, has issued a new report breaking down some of the unintended negative consequences of the shift, which include ecological degradation as well as human rights abuses.

We have become guinea pigs in a ruthlessly calculated, carefully orchestrated, chillingly cold-blooded experiment in how to control a population and advance a political agenda without much opposition from the citizenry.

This is mind-control in its most sinister form.

With alarming regularity, the nation is being subjected to a spate of violence that terrorizes the public, destabilizes the country, and gives the government greater justifications to crack down, lock down, and institute even more authoritarian policies for the so-called sake of national security without many objections from the citizenry.

All governments are empires of lies.  As Murray Rothbard wrote in his essay, “Anatomy of the State,” tax-funded political payoffs to political supporters is never sufficient to sustain governmental power.  In addition to that, states must pound into the brains of citizens that their government is good, wise, and at least inevitable — if not the will of God.

At the same time they must constantly warn of the deadly dangers of a free society with its free enterprise, free speech, rule of law (and not of politicians), its civil society, freedom of religion, its rights to protect one’s own life with firearms, its preferences for peace over war, opposition to government brainwashing of children, and its constitutions.  Hence, states must employ “intellectuals” as “court historians” to spread such propaganda far and wide and to censor alternative views as much as possible.

Why You Should Destroy Your Smart Phone Now

So-called ‘smart phones’ — far more accurately described as ‘dumb phones’ — combine a mobile phone with a watch, with a road map, with a tourist atlas of the world, with a digital camera, with a personal stereo system, with a music collection, with a video recorder, with a diary, with a calculator, with a credit card, with a travelcard, with an office key, with a torch, with a newspaper, with a television, with something to read on the train, and probably a lot more.

I don’t know, because I don’t own one.

‘But it’s so convenient!’ cry those who stare unbelieving at my twenty-year-old Nokia.

To which I reply: ‘Convenience breeds compliance.’ But to what?

Since they were first introduced into our lives in 2008, smartphones have become our outsourced memory and brain, replacing both with the convenience of not having to remember anything or think for ourselves. If you don’t believe me, then answer me this without looking at your smart phone. What is 9 x 13? What was the capital of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia? In what month of which year did the UK invade Iraq at the tail-end of the US-led coalition? Before smart phones, every child in the UK knew the answers to these questions. Now, no adult does.

A Quality Education 

 

   The mantra of "a quality education," was an invention of the real-estate industry in the  first decade after the end of WWII, or at least that business was the chief distributor of  the deceptively destructive notion. The cry of quality education became the spearhead of  a bold and complex scheme to increase the supply of real-estate product-by dissolving  the small-farm belts which surrounded cities in those days and converting the farm fields  into housing plots. The U.S. government was a major partner in this undertaking, which  serves as a useful illustration of how byzantine a reality schooling at the hands of a  political state must always be. Government had its own motives, as you'll soon see.
